1. Removable Partial Denture
This type of denture replaces one or more teeth which are made of metal or acrylic frame with clasps to hold on to the remaining teeth to keep the denture in place. How does the procedure work?

After a week you will be fitted with your new denture, there may be minor adjustments done by grinding on the area to be adjusted to make sure your bite is correct and the denture fits comfortably on your gums.
How long does it take to have the Dentures done?
Dentures can be completed usually in two weeks, it may take 2 to 3 appointments depending on each case, procedure starts by taking a dental impression and make a mould, then your bite is measured by using a bite wax. Once the mould and your bite measurement are taken, it will be sent to a lab for processing. Your next appointment will involve installation and adjustments to make sure the dentures fit comfortably.
Who should get dentures?
Dentures are made to substitute any missing teeth, for partial dentures, this will prevent the neighboring teeth from shifting towards the space of the missing tooth. Full or complete dentures help support the facial muscles and prevent aging. It improves facial appearance, chewing, and speaking.

Will Dentures change how I speak?

As we get older our body changes, gum ridges and bones shrink which affects the fitting of the dentures. If adjustments are not made, wearing a loose denture may result in sores and infection. Visit your dentist as soon as possible. The dentures should be adjusted by your dentist only.
