Dental Insurance

Finding dental insurance can be challenging. Dental insurances work similarly to health insurance. They have deductibles and when it is reached, the insurance pays all or partial expenses of the qualified dental treatment. There is stand-alone Dental insurance, which is a little bit cheaper depending on the procedures covered. If it is incorporating health insurance, premiums, it will be more expensive because it covers both.

At DentistConsultationHub.com, we can provide you a receipt upon payment that can be submitted to your insurance plan for consideration and payment. Not all dental plans accept teledentistry claims but most of them are catching up quickly. If your claim is not accepted, DentistConsultationHub dentist consultation fees are super affordable as we want everyone to be able to access a dentist.

Different types of dental insurance

1. Dental Preferred Provider Organization (DPPO)

This insurance has a network of Dental treatment providers, they will have lower rates and will not be required to submit claim forms and do not need a referral to see a specialist, but if they chose to have treatment with another Dentist outside the network, the cost will be higher. Preventive dental treatments like cleaning, Dental examination, and routine X-ray is fully covered if done inside the network.

2. Dental Indemnity Plan

This Dental Insurance wherein the policyholder has the freedom to choose whichever Dentist they want with no network restrictions. The plan will pay a customary percentage for a dental procedure; the patient will be responsible for the policy allowance difference. If they have their Dental treatments done outside the network, fees will be more expensive. Indemnity plans may require you to pay upfront and then claim for reimbursement from the insurance.

3. Capitation

Are agreed fixed monthly payments to the Dental Clinic or Hospital per patient who signed up for the plan. The prices are fixed for a year with a fixed amount, no matter how many times the patient visits.

4. Dental Memberships

This plan allows patients to avail of cheaper Dental treatments by paying for a fixed amount for a year of benefits; patients will now be able to avail of discounted treatments like cleaning, x-ray for the year. The more treatments included in the plan, the higher the membership fees. The patients only pay for the treatments they need. It is similar to having memberships with exclusive country clubs and the like.
