Carestream Scanner

Computer-guided implant assessment and placement

At Tooth Zone missing teeth replacement in the form of Dental implants is being done using a methodology of Replacedent. This is a unique computer guided, digitally precise keyhole guided placement of Implant. The final crown to be placed on the Implant is digitally finalized and according to this the Implant placement is digitally perfected. Due to the precise placement and pre-operative visualization of the crown to be placed on the Implant, the chances of success increase manifold. Also, the surgical extent and patient discomfort is drastically reduced. The healing time is much shorter and is very comfortable for the patient as well.

Digital X-Rays

Due to taking digital X-Rays, we are now able to review them much faster than before. These X-rays can be developed much faster than traditional X-rays and you are exposed to 80-90% less radiation. This makes it much safer for you, as well as our staff.

The images can be displayed on the computer screen and then can be enlarged. Which enables us to review them with you easily. Digital x-rays give us a highly detailed view of your teeth, helping us to be able to give you a more accurate diagnosis.

Intra-oral camera

We are able to show you what we are looking at inside your mouth with a small tool known as an intra-oral camera. The intra-oral camera allows us to take high-quality photos of your teeth and gums, which we then can magnify and display on a computer monitor for you to see.

Our Dentists use our camera’s revolutionary fluorescence imaging system. This can be used for the diagnosis and treatment aid of caries. By making use of the auto fluorescence of dentine, decays can be detected which are often missed by X-rays, even in its earliest stages. Taking these photos help us to explain our diagnosis, our treatment plan and give you a greater understanding of any problem areas.

Happy Gas – Sedation

Happy Gas allows you to relax and lesser anxiety during treatment. Many patients including adults and children experience phobias and anxiety associated with Dental practices and procedures.

Happy Gas (also known as laughing gas) is nitrous oxide. This is administered in a Dental setting through a small nasal inhaler gently placed over the patients  nose. The technique involves breathing in small amounts of Nitrous oxide along with Oxygen. Usually around 2-3 minutes later the patient will start to feel relaxed and happy. Once this point is achieved, treatment can begin.

Phillips Zoom! Teeth Whitening

During your Dental treatment, we can also provide you with a pair of our wireless noise cancelling headphones. These headphones continuously measure, compares and reacts to outside noise – then cancels it with the opposite signal to make quiet sound quieter and whatever you are listening to sound better. This works to stop any noise from our Dental equipment interrupting you during your visit, whist you enjoy your favourite show or movie on Netflix.
