Children’s Dentistry: With a focus on ensuring every child enjoys a calm and positive experience, our pediatric dental care program has stemmed from our passion for working with children. A key goal in achieving this calming atmosphere is to work together with our littlest patients and their parents to generate an educational, yet fun and positive relationship. When visiting our surgery, our skilled team of professionals will ensure that your child is treated with the utmost care and will maintain a comfortable and safe environment for the duration of their treatment.

Invisalign®: this revolutionary tooth straightening system is perfect for those wanting a discreet straightening option. Using a series of clear custom-made aligners that are changed regularly, Invisalign re-aligns your teeth slowly and with minimal interference in your daily life. Invisalign treatment is currently the most comfortable option for teeth re-alignment, and unlike traditional braces, allows you to maintain normal brushing and flossing to keep teeth and gums healthy.

Crowns and Bridges: made from materials like porcelain and ceramic, crowns and bridges are engineered and colored to match your teeth for a natural appearance. Crowns are typically used to reinforce the structure of the tooth to provide aesthetics with stability and function. Bridges are made up of three or more crowns that are attached as one unit. Bridges are mainly used to replace missing teeth and gaps within your smile. Crowns and bridges can greatly improve the appearance and function of your teeth. They strengthen cracked or weak teeth to prevent further damage and can also help to retain spaces left by missing teeth.

Wisdom tooth extraction: Wisdom teeth are usually best removed soon after they are seen to be growing inappropriately as this can increase the risk of gum infection, as well as crowding and misalignment of teeth. The worst outcomes, however, occur when there is no pain, and the bacteria slowly cause decay on both the wisdom tooth AND on the healthy, well-aligned tooth next door. Because this happens silently, by the time these are detected often both teeth need to be extracted. Therefore, it is important to have a full mouth X-ray (an OPG) around the time wisdom teeth start coming through and when they usually cause issues (ages 17-35). This way, the wisdom teeth can be managed appropriately without having to lose any other teeth unnecessarily.

Dental Implants: Dental implants are a replacement tooth root made of titanium that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. Their main purpose is to bond with the jaw and provide a secure, long-term solution to restore your chewing ability, improve your appearance, and prevent bone loss. At Sydney City Dentist we work closely with some of the best implant specialists in Sydney to ensure your implant treatment goes smoothly and successfully.

Root Canal (Endodontics): Root canal treatment, also called Endodontics, is the treatment of infection within the tooth nerve chambers. It involves the removal of the nerve and other tissue which has become either infected or inflamed within the nerve chambers and canals. This allows you to save the retain the tooth avoiding extraction. This procedure is performed over several visits and is performed under local anesthetic.
