Your First Visit
Oral health is widely considered important for overall health. A mix of dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists are often required to achieve optimum oral health.
General Dentistry is the foundation of good oral health and covers the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of any diseases and disorders detected.
In most cases, where good oral hygiene is practiced at home, bi-annual checkups with a hygienist and dentist are recommended. However, the frequency of visits depends on the status of oral health, which will be discussed during your visit. Visits with the General Dentist, often include digital x-rays to enable the dentist to better understand overall oral health, including those unseen areas below the teeth within the gums.
Remember “Prevention is better than the cure”…..and often less painful and more cost effective!

Our highly trained dentists are well qualified to deliver a full range of treatment options, to fit your oral health needs and budget. Our guide below provides an overview of services available. If there is a service you are after that isn’t listed, please contact us regarding this to discuss any options that may be available.
Teeth Whitening
Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help improve the look of your teeth. Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with a fluoride-containing toothpaste, cleaning between their teeth once a day using floss and the regular cleanings at your dentist’s office. If you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your smile look brighter, there are different options available to consider.
Fillings
Our diet and lifestyle has a huge impact on our teeth. A filling is when material is placed into the tooth in order to replace missing tooth structure or substance, they are also used when teeth have small to moderate decay or fractures to restore tooth function.
Veneers
Veneers are an ideal cosmetic dental solution for patients who want a fast, effective, aesthetically pleasing solution to common problems. Veneers can be used straighten crooked teeth, close gaps and repair chipped or stained teeth. They can also be used to improve the shape, length and size of your teeth.
Crowns
Dental crowns are a long term solution for damaged, broken, fractured, weak or chipped teeth, and can improve biting abilities. Crowns are colour matched to ensure the best, most natural looking and aesthetically pleasing result. They are made of a very durable, long lasting material which covers your remaining tooth structure.
Dentures
Dentures replace missing natural teeth to restore your abilities to eat, speak and function more comfortably. An ideal option for restoring confidence and increasing your oral health, dentures also help to reduce the look of ageing because missing natural teeth have a ‘sagging’ impact on the muscles in your face making people appear older. Most dentures are removable and require cleaning and maintenance.
X-Rays
Many patients often ask us why they need x-rays if they are not experiencing any symptoms of pain or discomfort. An oral examination does not allow the dentist to see in between teeth or underneath teeth that have been filled or that have had other restorative treatment.
Stained Teeth
Patients often report that they have lost the confidence to smile due to stained teeth. Treatments are available to remove these stains.
Hygiene
A hygiene appointment is a very important part of routine oral care. At your regular dental check-up you will undergo an examination and hygiene which includes removing calculus build up on your teeth and removing superficial stains and the application of agents which help to prevent decay.
Gum Disease
Periodontitis, or gum disease is most commonly a preventable condition. The Australian Dental Association reports that gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss in Australia.
Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal Therapy is where a dentist removes inflamed or dead pulp (soft tissue that contains blood, lymph vessels and the nerves) from inside of the tooth and seals it with a dental material in order to save a tooth that is causing pain.
Dental Emergencies
Our highly qualified and experienced dental team can provide treatment for a wide range of dental emergencies and accidents – from a broken baby tooth to major swelling and everything in between. It is always important to contact your dentist as soon as possible if you experience injury or trauma of any kind to your teeth to get advice on the best course of action.
We will review the reports from both Dentist and Patient to give the best decision. It will take 3-5 business days for reviewing after receiving two reports.
