Welcome to

Dental Essence

[caption id="attachment_14297" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Welcome to Dental Essence At Dental Essence, our Dentists are able to carry out all aspects of operative dentistry services[/caption]

At Dental Essence, our Dentists are able to carry out all aspects of operative dentistry services, from check-ups, scaling and polishing, routine fillings, crowns and root canal therapy to more complex bridges, porcelain veneers and implants.

However,  top of the mind considerations remain, the preservation of tooth structure, the importance of not compromising dental health and the financial costs involved.

We like to think that we see the bigger picture and so elect only to carry out treatment we feel is in the patients best long term interests.

Dental Essence using modern technology to provide conservative dental treatment without compromising value and quality for our patients

Dental Essence is established by Dr. Andrew Lui, BDSc (Melbourne) and Dr. Gareth Pearson, BDS MSc (UK).

It Started with a Vision:

Both arrived in Singapore as young expatriate doctors in 2001, one from Down Under Melbourne and the other from Great Britain.

Their joint and separate working experience shaped their common core beliefs of the practice of dentistry. They envisioned a practice where the quality of dental care and treatment would not be compromised and the preservation of tooth structure is a priority. Driven by that premise, in 2009, Dental Essence was born, with its first clinic in Tudor Court.

The start of a business between Andrew and Gareth also forged a wonderful friendship.  A partnership that stems from trust, strong commitment, and dedication to doing what is right in both their professional and personal lives.

In February 2016, Dental Essence expanded its Tudor court clinic to facilitate the vision of integrated care. Visiting and residing dental specialists can now conveniently co-treat complex and complicated cases under one roof. We have been at Tudor Court for over a decade and hopefully many more.

In doubling our size and centralizing our operation, we will now be able to offer you a more fully integrated dental experience complete with our in-house periodontist and oral surgeon.

The Dental Essence core team also grew since 2013 having two more dentists and two specialists:

  • Dr. Linda Yen – BDS Hons (Sydney) FRACDS
  • Dr Damini Chawla – BDS Hons (Perth)
  • Dr Yasmin Huber – DMD (WA)
  • Dr Sun Din Loo – Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon MDS Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgery (Hong Kong) BDS (Singapore), FAMS (Singapore)

Despite the changes, the mantra by its founding partners remains true today: use modern technology to provide conservative dental treatment without compromising value and quality for their patients. It is this strong belief and commitment that Dental Essence’s customers today are not just patients but many have become friends.

DENTAL ESSENCE INVISALIGN® – THE CLEAR ALTERNATIVE TO BRACES

What is it?

Invisalign® is an alternative orthodontic treatment to fixed braces. They function the same as fixed braces except that they are designed to be an invisible and removable orthodontic treatment method that uses sequential clear aligners that fit over your teeth.  Invisalign is suitable for both teens and adults.

How does it work?

These aligners move your teeth gradually with each aligner subtly progressing in shape towards the intended treatment results.

Reasons why people choose Invisalign®

  • Invisalign® looks better than metal braces
  • You can remove Invisalign® aligners to eat, brush & floss
  • You can eat anything with Invisalign aligners
  • Invisalign® is more comfortable than braces

When you opt for this method of treatment, patients can avoid the use of the traditional metal brackets that need to be stuck on the teeth. With this choice, the Invisalign can be removed and the patient can chew normally, speak clearly and look as natural as possible; almost as if they were not having a dental treatment at all.

See your Invisalign® smile even before you get started

Step 1

Once you’ve decided to proceed with Invisalign® treatment, we will take a smile scan which captures an accurate 3D image of your teeth using a digital scanner.

Step 2

Using your smile scan, your doctor will use the Invisalign® Clincheck® software to come up with a treatment plan customized to help you achieve your future smile.

Step 3

Your doctor will be able to show you a preview of your Invisalign® digital treatment plan from start to end of the treatment. Seeing is believing!

Step 4

Once your Invisalign® digital plan is finalized, your doctor will order the Invisalign® clear aligners to be fabricated and customized just for you.

What makes Invisalign® aligners different from other clear aligners?

Technology & Innovation

Founded in 1997, no other clear aligner brand is backed by data and experience of more than 8 million cases and more.

Simple to Complex cases

Invisalign® can treat moderate to complex cases while some other clear aligner brands generally treat simple cases. However, it is important that you see a doctor for a consultation to assess your suitability for Invisalign® treatment.

Features

The Invisalign® clear aligners are made of a special patented SmartTrack® material is developed based on 8 years of research and development. This patented material helps you gently move your teeth faster. Invisalign also has another unique feature called the SmartForce® attachments which allows for complex teeth movement possible without braces.

In-clinic option

Your doctor will be monitoring you closely throughout your Invisalign® treatment to ensure you are on track towards achieving your dream smile.

When should you consider getting Invisalign®?

If you have noticed a grp in your smile, or maybe a set of teeth are crooked, you may want to visit your dentist. Teeth movement or shifting can be a problem that affects people of all ages. There are many causes to teeth movement such as periodontal (gum) conditions, grinding your teeth, or you may have done braces before in your younger days, but your condition may have relapsed as you have not been wearing your retainers. If you would like to correct your bite, straighten crooked teeth or improve your smile, schedule an appointment with us to assess your suitability for Invisalign® treatment.
