Patient Safety and Comfort at Cosmetic and Laser Dentistry Centre

We utilise hospital grade sterilisation and infection control protocols for every patient, far exceeding the recommended safety standards. Wherever possible, disposable single use items are used. All hand instruments and dental handpieces (drills) are ultrasonically cleaned, disinfected and sterilised in an autoclave after every patient.

All surfaces in our treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected after each patient. Clinical staff always wear dental uniforms and gowns,as well as masks, gloves and glasses.

 To protect your eyes during treatment, specially tinted safety glasses take the edge off our dental overhead lamps. Blankets and pillows are on hand to ensure the highest level of comfort throughout treatment.

Dr King is a pioneer of laser dentistry and also an accredited trainer in the use of hard and soft tissue lasers. CLDC routinely use several laser to perform specific tasks:

    The Diode Laser – Used to re-contour gums and other soft tissue, without the need for painful scalpel surgery. The results are immediate, with no pain or bleeding. This laser can also assist in the treatment of gum disease.

    ERBIUM – YAG hard and soft tissue laser – Used for re-contouring teeth, removing decay, preparing teeth for tooth coloured restoration. Painless and in most cases not requiring anaesthetic.

    Laser Decay Detector – Used in most cases to diagnose early decay, long before it is picked up on X-ray. It is fast, non-invasive, painless and extremely accurate for initial decay detection.

    CO2 Laser – used for large soft tissue procedures.

That means there is no more not-so-nice smelling and sticky stuff held in your mouth and importantly no more gagging from intrusive impression trays and materials.

The 3SHAPE TRIOS intra-oral dental 3D scanner is moved around your mouth taking millions of images to build a highly detailed model of your teeth, gums and bite. Another advantage of a dental 3D scanner is that it gives our dentists and hygienists a high-definition, full-colour record of your teeth, making it easier to spot potential problems and diagnose oral health issues while providing advanced dental care.
