Meet the team at CDK Dental [caption id="attachment_16393" align="alignnone" width="300"]CDK Dental CDK Dental Team[/caption] Welcome to CDK Dental! Located on Castlereagh Street in Sydney, Dr. Chris Karikios and his team of professional dental clinicians are ready and waiting to meet all your dental needs.  Established over 20 years ago with the vision of creating a multi-disciplined state-of-the-art dental facility, at CDK Dental our dental team is dedicated to helping patients achieve their ‘smile goals’ while exceeding their expectations in every way.

The Personalised Dentistry You Deserve at CDK Dental

CDK Dental’s passion is to keep our patients smiling and in good health. We understand that a human being is behind every smile and so we want to ensure that you are happy with the treatment you receive at CDK Dental. The happiness and continuous support of our patients will always be our greatest accomplishment!

At CDK Dental we do dentistry differently!

At CDK dental, we do dentistry differently using the 4 T’s
  • Training

: We are always looking to improve the experience of our patients at our Sydney Dental practice. As such, all staff, and clinicians at CDK Dental undergo extensive ongoing training.
  • Treatment planning

: At CDK Dental we go beyond providing “stock” dental treatments for our patients. Everyone is different and requires individualized care to achieve the best results possible, whether it is in the types of treatment we offer or the best materials or tools available. There’s no such thing as a “quick fix” when it comes to dental health and so we offer thorough consultations and analysis to come up with the best treatment plan for you.
  • Time

: At CDK Dental, we understand that many patients try to fit in their dental treatment during a busy working day and so we ensure that your valuable time is always respected and appropriately scheduled. For your convenience, we even offer CEREC the same appointment restorations. We can create crowns, inlays, and onlays at our on-site milling machine during your appointment.
  • Technology

: CDK Dental’s use of dental technology is at the cutting edge of dentistry today. Our enhanced treatment options include CEREC dentistry (allowing for porcelain crowns and large tooth-colored restorations to be fabricated and fitted during one appointment), The Wand (painless dental anesthesia), Digital x-ray systems (including on-the-spot panoramic and CT scans), Aceram (a dental laboratory at your doorstep) and Sterilization and infection control tracking systems.

Special Dental Services at CDK Dental

[caption id="attachment_16394" align="alignnone" width="215"]CDK Dental CDK Dental Operatory[/caption] At CDK Dental we offer the full complement of dental services including Preventive Dentistry, General Dentistry, Children’s Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry (including dental veneers, crowns, and bridges, teeth whitening), Root Canal Treatment, Emergency dental treatment, Dental Implants, and the following specialist areas:

Sleep Apnoea Treatment:  Sleep apnoea occurs when the tissues at the back of the throat or the tongue relax during sleep and block the airway. You may first discover that you snore or stop breathing during sleep when a partner or family member alerts you to a problem. It is best to address sleep apnoea immediately as it can lead to several health conditions including heart disease, Stroke, Obesity, Depression and can even cause early death. Patients often find CPAP machines difficult to wear and remove during sleep. At CDK Dental we offer an effective alternative called oral appliance therapy. A custom oral appliance designed to gently adjust the jaw allows for the free flow of air during sleep and many patients find this treatment option preferable to CPAP therapy. It can provide relief for patients with mild to moderate cases of sleep apnoea and can also be used in conjunction with CPAP therapy for patients who suffer from severe obstructive sleep apnoea.

Sleep Dentistry: If the thought of stepping foot into a dental practice makes your entire body tense with fear, sedation dentistry may help to relieve some of your anxiety. Sedation, or sleep dentistry, makes treatment possible for patients who have avoided the dentist due to anxiety, have difficulty getting numb, or who have an overly active gag reflex. Sedation can be used for any dental treatment, from complex dental procedures to simple tooth cleaning.

TMJ and Bruxism: Do you grind your teeth? Bruxism, or the clenching and grinding of teeth, can cause several oral health conditions that negatively impact the quality of life. TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction, characterized by jaw pain, clicking, popping, locking or inflammation of the muscles surrounding the joint can be caused by long-term Bruxism. Both conditions can worsen over time without proper professional treatment and can make eating, yawning, and talking painful. Dr. Karikios will evaluate your condition and organize a treatment plan to relieve symptoms and treat the underlying condition. Treatment varies based on individual needs and may include lifestyle adjustments, stress management strategies, or appliances like an occlusal splint (night guard).
